| Koutetsu Jeeg (Iron/Steel Jeeg)
is the original magnemo-11 (11cm magnetic joint) figure created by Takara in 1975
coinciding with its animation TV show. It was the beginning of the Robot scene and
is what Mego’s Baron Karza, Force Commander, and many other Micronaut figure bodies
were based on. The only differences between the two lines are the heads and color
scheme. Steel Jeeg is the father figure of all magnemo characters in Japan, U.S.,
and in Europe. There isn’t much information available on the internet in
English or in Japanese about Jeeg, so bare with me while I continue searching for more
information. The Animated TV show was created in 1975. The gist of the story is Hiroshi Shiba changes into a Cyborg then eventually the head of Iron Jeeg Robot. The rest of his body parts are magnetically connected and he fights off the evil Haniwa to save the Earth. I had previously listed a couple of links (Arga's Koutetsu Jeeg & Guyver's Jeeg Page) which featured some information about the anime. They no longer exist which is why I removed them from my site.
